Nothing was done this year about foreclosures in Georgia. Yes, I've become narrow minded about the issue.

Who determines when to foreclose in Georgia? The lender. There's no legal recourse to the homeowner. There's no legal standard for what can trigger foreclosure. There's no objective standard at all.

The lender doesn't have to give any notice of default. NONE!

How can our state legislature pass a meaningless bill about migration while continuing to let corporations have more rights than citizens?

Hello Gold Dome!

Great work, btw.

Could I get you to write something about how the GOP legislature continues to ignore foreclosures in Georgia?

We're the only state in the union to use a 'security deed.'

Home owners are not the owners of their home until it no longer has any liens.

Liens are not being updated by banks.

Foreclosure can be done in 30 days or less, the shortest time frame in America.

The property can be sold on the courthouse steps with no notice of default given to the 'homeowners.'

A proper Notice of Default is not given. A proper NOD would state the nature of the default, give possible remedies, and a time frame to complete the remedies.

Property / land that was not used as a residence at the time of the transaction does not require any public notice.

I think this crap goes back to reconstruction when Carpet baggers were stealing land from Southerners.

I brought this issue to the Hall County Republican Party. They more or less told me that other states are working on it. Not a legislative problem. Contact the new AG. Write a letter.

I researched the Code carefully. I work in mortgage loans. Our property records are incomplete and suffer from criminal acts by lenders.

Anytime government gets revenue, it should be called a tax. Even lottery tickets are a part of taxation (and expenditure).

When I send a check to my grandchildren for a birthday or special occasion, it will be reduced by another bite of sales tax.

So I pay Social Security taxes, Medicare and Medicaid, federal income taxes, state and local taxes, and then my grand kids pay sales taxes on candy canes?

It's never a good time to raise taxes on staples like sugar, flour, milk, and eggs.

So why now?

I'm not old enough to remember tax collectors taking cows and chickens as 'taxes.' But, I feel my existence being taxed as if the food in my mouth is being taken away while I'm chewing.
